Academic Calendar

Classroom AttendanceHere it is, all scoped out for you for the next three years. This way, you can enter your class schedule and plan where you’ll be and what’s expected of you, and even though you’re an adult, you know when recess is. (Woot! Your teachers are just as excited about recess as you are. They like to go to the beach, or ski, or hit the spa—or sleep for 14 hours, too.)

Classroom attendance is essential to learning everything you need to become a competent and respected midwife. The classes themselves, and the one-month modules build one on top of the other and link together, and you don’t want any chinks in the armor! Missing classes doesn’t only harm you, but your classmates and partners who rely on you and your input to sharpen their own skills. Please read the attendance policy and the exceptions for absences. Even if you’re excused for legitimate reasons, you’re still responsible for completing what you’ve missed, so obey that calendar or scheduling app that you fill with classes, labs, attending births, and holidays.

So add your schedule to whatever phone app is your master, and remember, “To everything there is a season.”

Class. Lab. Study group. Exams. And recess.
